Hiro geeks out.

Hiro's pop-culture (okay, nerdcore) references continue in his blog. Excerpts:

Hiro hits Ando-kun for 53 damage. 19 blocked.

Would Peter Parker do the same? I can't let Uncle Ben die because of my actions.

On the upside, I have been practicing my time freezing as you guys have said and I think I leveled up my skill. (>_<)(o.o)

The biggest question I have is am I a real hero? I cowardly hid while someone was being killed. My fingers was on L1 + R1 the whole time.

(^o^) The limo isn't an airship though. Ah! It's our chocobo. A very high tech chocobo.

In brightest day, in blackest night,
Hiro
Saints preserve me, I love this stuff. He gives his future-self AD&D stats too.

I think I've missed the bus on this Heroes thing. Everything I read about it, like this stuff, makes it seem really cool. But the four episodes I watched just didn't live up to, I suppose, my expectations (based on all the supporting material being put out by the production company and the fans writing about it on their own).

Maybe it's that "Save the Cheerleader. Save the World." mantra that annoys me. I've got nothing against cheerleaders per se. I've seen Bring It On. It just sounds so dumb.

Am I wrong? Should I try to come in again?

I don't think Kathy is missing anything. Heroes shows flashes of greatness, but has been decidedly mediocre. The stories aren't quite there, the characters aren't quite there. I want it to be good. I see what it could be. But it never quite gets there. It frustrates me, but I keep watching it hoping that it will break out.

I dunno. If I have to convince you to watch it, then I guess it's not for you. I like superheroes and goofy pop culture references and shows that don't take themselves too seriously. It ain't fer everybody.
