It was a great play by me.

Ah, the classic American Football body language that says, "Oh fuck, there goes the ball game." Hands on hips. Too bad they couldn't lose the Super Bowl on the last play of the game, that's what I'd like to see. But I'll be happy with what the Colorado Horsies did today.

The play that sealed the doom of the Patriots' act was described by Champ Bailey, the guy that made the pick, as "...a great play by me." I love that. Don't sugarcoat it baby, they asked you what happened, you tell 'em.

Playoff win streak over, new champion this year, dynasty dead in the water. Schadenfreude oozes from my pores. It's not a pretty sight. But I've been saving that up for a while, so it's nice to get it out of my system.

I wish I had more nice and positive things to say, but Christ, who wants to read THAT blog.

God damn, I miss having Champ as a Redskin. Not only a great player, but a sort of funny guy too.

You know, I agree. Why can't you just say you did a really good job when everyone knows you did? I think modesty is a good thing, but not when it's fake.

Here's to not being afraid to say, "Whoo! Yay me!" when it's relevant to do so.

Wow, such enmity. I mean, I was rooting against them (mostly because I have a friend who is a die-hard Pats fan and gets way too into the game so it's fun to tweak him), but it's not like I feel any schadenfreude. Bellichek is an amazing team and has got his players playing well the past few years. Okay, so this year they were decimated with injuries and only made it to the playoffs (by one game!) by being in a weak division, and I thought people were ignoring this come playoffs just because they have historically been good. Vinatieri is an amazing kicker (kicker's don't get enough respect) and Brady is a great quarterback, even if I disagree with his politics.

I was much happier to see the Colts lose. They're a good team, sure, but their amazing record come from beating mostly weak teams.

Agreed on the Colts. I hate the Pats MORE because they're really good at everything.

Why do I hate the Pats? Okay, I've said this many times: Imagine your team in the Super Bowl, with the other team ready to kick a LAST SECOND field goal to win the game. When that team hits that field goal, you hate them. Forever, I think.

Don't get me started on the Red Sox and Cards. I did go to Boston once, and it was nice.
