Rule #5.

From how to blog by Tony Pierce:

5. dont tell your mom, your work, your friends, the people you want to date, or the people you want to work for about your blog. if they find out and you'd rather they didnt read it, ask them nicely to grant you your privacy.
Not sure about this one. I had a blog on LiveJournal that I called my "rantblog." When I got mad, I posted. Made me feel better. I used to write letters when I got mad, my Mom did that too. Family tradition.

Eventually, I mentioned the blog to the people I worked with, and cleaned up some posts I thought might be "misconstrued." So I guess I was always sensitive to those issues. Once I told some of the folks I worked with, some of them started to blog too.

That was a way cool byproduct that has helped us all keep in touch, so I have to say that keeping my blog a secret would have been a mistake for sure. I've never asked somebody to stop reading my blog, since I figure that once it's out there you can't get it back.

I don't tell people that I want to work for about my blog, but it's not a secret, and I suspect that some of them have read it. If you're lurking and think you're being sneaky, come on in and sit down and join the party. The more the merrier!

Oh yeah and fuck all the fucking fuckers, can't forget Rule #4.
