Another thought about Hecatomb.
Remember when Wizards took all the demonic and Satanic references out of the core set? I don't remember what Edition that was. You know, no pentagrams, no Demonic Attorney, stuff like that? Well maybe Hecatomb is the result of years of pent up demonic aggression based on this self-imposed censorship. In fact, even the cards are pentagonal! I can certainly say with its price point that Hecatomb doesn't seem to be designed to make money, so maybe this explains it. Satanic images FTW!

I don't get it. A game called Heactomb has five-sided cards. Wha?
It's not Hexatomb, it's Hecatomb, as in "the sacrifice to the gods of 100 cattle (hecaton = one hundred)." Or did you think they should be hundred-sided cards? :P
Ta for the explanation. I was thinking "tomb of Hecate".
Wow, you have to tap a stack of those big plastic cards? That does sound difficult. Sometimes I wonder what that company is thinking (for example, X-Men, WCW, Looney Tunes...???).
