Yes, I have been there. I took my daughter to a co-worker's kid's birthday. Worst place to have a party and I won't do it for my kids.
At my kid's parties, the kids play with each other, not video games, still get prizes, grass stains on their clothes, and wreck my house. That's how parties are supposed to be and why I bought a house with a big yard.
