Toilet seats.
I found an article which applies game theory (something that sounds like I use it at work, but I don't) to the Eternal Conundrum of the Toilet Seat. Whilst I don't understand this article, I will take this opportunity to espouse my own personal manifesto regarding the situation:
If the toilet has a lid, close it.That makes it equally inconvenient for everyone. It's the only fair way.

Though I'm convinced it has some relevant things to point out, game theory (used extensively in ecology and animal behavior, where I run into it) makes my brain hurt.
