Breaking News: CK & LWC to CO!

I am excitedly taking a Game Designer position with Sony Online Entertainment - Denver, formerly Worlds Apart. I'll be working for Scott Martins and with Evan Lorentz. We'll be moving there in a couple weeks, since I start the day after Labor Day.

I am thrilled to be part of a large company (yes, I know that the Denver office is small, but it's still Sony) that has already sent me the Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct. You know me, I like the rules and regs right up front. Those of you wondering why I didn't go to Gen Con, this is why.

To everyone who made this possible, and everyone who helped us make ends meet during the last year, thanks so much! All of you who told me not to settle and keep living the dream, I'm still designing games! Thanks for all the help and support. We're leaving a lot of friends behind here in Virginia, and we'll miss you all. I plan to have a going-away open housecooling here, looks like August 19th.

Those of you in St. Louis, we plan to spend a night or two there around the 30th so we can see all y'all on the way through. We've got lots of plans to make in the next few days!

Yea! Congrates!

I'm happy for you guys! But it is good for me too because it is more CO stories to show up in blogs for me to read ;)

I have your hotel reservation number right here, sir. Confirmation #567H5Z. Just let us know what days and nights and such and I'll buy mints for the pillows.

(Yay you!)

Evan mentioned this when I bumped into him at Gencon. This is dynamite news and I'm sure you'll have a great time in CO. When might you be passing through IN?

Congratulations to both of you!! Great news!

Funny thing is that I was literally going to call you tomorrow about a opening we have at my work. Last week Carosi says "What about Chuck?", I say "Perfect, although I'm not sure he would think so".

All for nothing though, cause it sounds like a much better opportunity for you! Trust me, it's much better.

Congrats man! No one told me this at GenCon! (Tom, you're a bastard and you owe me!)

We'll be kind of working together now that we've announced our partnership with Sony (Formerly WA).

Very cool for you two.

I'm happy, sad... happy. No, Sad. Wait... yes! Happy it is!

I'm really going to miss you guys. But I'm elated things worked out well. Working with Evan and Scott should be a blast.

I figure in another couple of months things will have settled down enough for me to decide which city has the highest concentration of former co-workers, and then I can use the last 50k of my frequent flyer miles for a visit!

Good Luck!

Happy (for you) and sad (for Norfolk). We don't see you that often, but I always knew you were there, and relied upon the "Kallenbach Component" at every Ellington BBQ!

Travel safe mate - tell C that if she needs it, I will give her the Good Luck Travelling Lobster (tm)

MKAE - you mustn't have been paying attention, cause I am pretty sure Martions mentioned it briefly at one stage during lunch?
