Top Trumps.

LWC bought Rubik's Sudoku at the con, and it's a cool way to play the game with numbered tabs and even pegs for marking possibles. Comes with lots of puzzles and of course you can plug in anything you get from the newspaper or web too.

With purchase, we received for free a copy of Top Trumps Skyscrapers. If you're not familiar with Top Trumps, it's a dopey game of cards that plays like War. For this version, you hold a skyscraper card in your hand and pick a category like "Floors." Everybody reads theirs aloud, and if you have the biggest number, you win all the cards. Ties make a pile just like War.

Why did everybody get a free copy of this silly game? Because there's one skyscraper in the set that needs its stats updated. World Trade Center. I guess they thought it was too sensitive a topic to try to sell the game. Curiously, this deck was printed in 2005, so somebody decided it would be okay to do that.

That Rubik's Sudoku looks neat. Wish I had been there to get one -- seems you can get it from Target online, but not in the stores. :-(

How big is the board?

LWC said to tell you, "It's nine by nine." Funny. Actually, it's about 7 inches by 7 inches, and an inch deep. It has a little storage drawer for pegs and books and stuff.
