Word of the day: Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia
That's right kids, hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia is the fear of the number 666. Front page news on USAToday and CNN this morning. Scholars tell us that it's not even a number.
The Hebrew consonants that spelled out "Nero Caesar," in the Greek form of the name, add up to 666.This is just another example of superstitious fear giving power to a symbol. The silly people at West End Games called Bossk's starship the Hound's Tooth (aka "the Flying Stapler") a "Corellian YV-666 Light Freighter." When I tried to put this in the lore for the SWCCG card, I was told that I couldn't do that.
I couldn't believe that rational, intelligent human beings thought that fire would rain down from the sky if we printed the number between 665 and 667 on a game card. Buildings should have a 13th floor, and the number 666 is not gonna kill anybody. Happy June 6th, 2006!

Why not put 999 on the card and then turn it upside down?

Link's broke.
Anyway, the reason why is not a fear that in so doing, you channel the devil into your card game, but that people will think that, in so doing, you channel the devil into your card game.
Look at what happened to Unholy Strength.
Maybe more card games should cater to the satan-worshipping demopgraphic. It's an untapped market!

I could be wrong, but I think that Kult and... uh... I can't remember the name, but it's like "Beastmaster" and it's the rarest CCG on the planet... anyway, those two have that covered.
I don't understand what the problem is with Satanic icons, since all the other religions can do whatever the fuck they want. I think Satanists are very poorly funded. You'd think that guy would have more money. Actualy, I read that Satanists think all the hoohah about 666 is just silly.
