I love Dooce.

Heather's new masthead says, "NEITHER REPRESENTING NOR KEEPING IT REAL." Awesome! I laughed out loud. Who doesn't love the neither-nor? She's such a curmudgeon for being only 30ish.

Unfortunately today, she has another letter to her daughter. As a parent, I think this is a terrific idea. As a reader, I find them boring. I know that every parent thinks their child is the most wonderful thing in the world (yes I do too), but this is laying it on thick for a kid that's not mine.

Either that, or I'm crabby cause I can't play WoW today (server migration, much like the Canadian goose). Ah well.

I have an intense hatred of Canadian geese, instilled in me from a young age by my father.

Avian nitpickery: The bird you refer to is the "Canada goose" (Branta canadensis), not the "Canadian goose". I don't think they can actually claim Canadian citizenship, seeing as how they breed as far south as California.

I noticed when I searched for pics that it was called the "Canada" goose, but we always called them "Canadian" geese. I suppose, like African-Americans, the geese decided to change their names.

Next you're gonna tell me that Canadian cheese isn't from Canada either... :P

(Nice nitwork, Major.)
