10 flagrant grammar mistakes.

In this list of common errors, Mistake #4 is incorrectly worded.

#4: i.e. for e.g.
No: Use an anti-spyware program (i.e., Ad-Aware).
Yes: Use an anti-spyware program (e.g., Ad-Aware).
Note: The term i.e. means "that is"; e.g. means "for example". And a comma follows both of them.
The mistake is: "Don't fucking use Latin, because it's a FUCKING DEAD LANGUAGE."

These are weak mistakes -- the product of mutterers and half-hearing translated into writing. In fact, the misuse of i.e. for e.g. is perhaps the only really strong mistake to cover.

What about distinguishing "less" and "fewer" or "much" and "many"? What about "who" and "that"? "Further" and "farther"? Using "fiasco" to imply difficulty?

Okay, the "lay" and "lie" thing is a good distinction to cover.
