No more Katie.

I have said a lot about Today over the years. Probably way too much. I watched it when Jane Pauley left (I liked her a lot), when Bryant Gumbel left (good newsman, but didn't like him) and this was Katie Couric's last day. While I admit that the team of Couric, Lauer, Roker, and Curry had a lot of chemistry together, I never really liked Katie. She's just too fluffy for me. I can't imagine her as anchor for the CBS Evening News, so I'll be watching for a wreck when that train leaves the station. I am reminded that the British term is "newsreader" implying that there ain't much to it, so maybe it's all Much Ado About Nothing. Katie's being replaced on the Today Show by Meredith Viera, who I have always liked a lot.
