Spelling poems.

I know it sounds like Gallagher (not Gallagher II, thank FSM), but these poems show how completely fucked up English spelling is.

When the English tongue we speak.
Why is break not rhymed with freak?
Will you tell me why it's true
We say sew but likewise few?
No other language has these problems, except maybe for Chinese, but that's only when you try to translate it into English, so English is still to blame.

Is her name Zhang Zyi or Zyi Zhang? Christ, I Googled and got, "Did you mean Zhang Ziyi?" Nobody knows, but she's hot.

And isn't that what really matters?

AFAIK it's Zhang Ziyi but Ziyi is her given name.

But the Chinese thing is just whether you say it the Chinese way and do family name then given name or the American (Western) way and say given name then family name.

In English, it's "ridiculous". Does this pull things back on course?
