One myriavisit.
I planned to make a post commemorating the ten thousandth visitor to my blog, but then I Googled some other such posts and they were painfully lame. A lot like this post, in fact.
Let's just console ourselves with the fact that ten thousand visits equals one myriavisit, which sounds so much cooler than 10 kilovisits.
You may wonder why I have three different hit counters on my blog. Well, once upon a time I only had one, and that site crashed and lost my data so I had to guesstimate. I pledge to you that will never happen again! Now we have triple redundancy. Not sure what the metric prefix is for that, though.

I am also up to three counters since I'm cheap and won't pay for upgrades, I often lose information on who is visiting when and doing what if I can't check it before it "fills up".
If you ever figure out how to keep all the counters reading the same visits - let me know! I figure most of the deviance is from people "flipping" between pages too quickly and it registers on one but not the other? I mention this because you seem to have the same problem.
bjnny (I don't normally type the verification in the comment, but this one was cool).
Some of the counters count my visits, and some don't. There are lots of criteria, evidently. Sounds like you've had some of the same experiences I have.
I have to keep my blog nice and simple, corporate IT Policy does not allow anything fancy, e.g.Comment box, stat counters. Bit boring to bump into Access Denied messages all the time.:(
