More Project .hack news!

Hot on the heels of .hack/GU (which supposedly means "grown up" in 12 different connotations), which is a console game for the PS2, we have .hack//fragment, a real online game much like "The World," the simulated online game in the PS2 games. Using only the PS2 network adapter and not requiring the PS2 hard drive, you'll make your character and join in parties of three to adventure, kill things and steal stuff.

Wow, they're finally doing it! Amazing. I think I'll have to try this, at least for a while. When I bought our second (used) PS2, they threw in the network adapter free, since the new PS2 has one built-in. Never thought I'd be using it, actually.

It'll be just in time for the PS3 to come out!

Just be careful not to fall into any comas while playing \\fragment.

Like the coma I can't escape playing World of Warcraft? Yeah, that would be bad. Almost level 59 now.

They really should put voice recognition into those games for the special abilities - one, the menu was always annoying, and two, it'd be cool for multiplayer..

You mean like for commands to the other party members? Yeah that would have rocked. Maybe they'll have voice support for the online game???
