See, I told you it was easy.

Well it's hard to keep up with all the new stars in the Blogosphere that have begun glittering lately, but I try to keep up the Blogroll at left. If you see a new entry there, it's a good bet it's somebody you know. Blogger is really basic software, but it's amazingly easy to use. There are some things I wish it had, like Trackback, but you can't have everything. (Why is that?)

I do highly recommend to all of you some kind of RSS reader, which collects the feeds from the blogs you follow all in one place. My Yahoo can do this, and I've already mentioned NewsWire for the Mac. I got this to work for every blog except Kosmo's, which uses secret Soviet cold-war cypher programming. Kosmo, if you know how to work the RSS feed from your blog, LMK.

I swell with pride, thinking of you all as my disciples, and then I remember that you all have your own blog, and you can post, "What was that fucking asshole Shocho thinking when he posted THAT?!" and then it passes.

Shift the paradigm into low gear, I see some hills ahead.

I found a great one for the PC, but, uh, I can't remember what it's called. It auto-discovers the feeds for you, and it found one for Church of Brad! I will post the name of the PC blog feed reader I recommend along with the address of Brad's feed post-haste upon returning to the domocile this evening.

Wow... NewsWire has a function that grabs the feed from an open Safari site, but Kosmo's blog is guarded by Tatiana Romanova wearing only a black ribbon around her neck, and she won't give up the Lektor. I can't fight that.

What is an RSS reader?

Here is some good basic info, with suggested software.

Guess you could put my blog over there, though I don't know that I'll ever really write in it. My blogging days were occupied by my LiveJournal, which is full of lots of fun melodramatic crap that no one will ever read. :P

You are on the Blogroll! My highest compliment. Pretty much my only compliment, really.

So, RSS tells you when your favourite sites have been updated? It sends you the updates? I know I'm getting old when I need new tech explained to me :(

Here is the feed that my reader auto-discovered for Brad's blog.

Good luck all.

The reader I use for Windows is JetBrains Omea Reader. Free for a limited time when you register.

Bingo! Worked great. You are the Goddess of RSS. We are not worthy!
