A scorpion from Denver, returned.
Once upon a time, I worked for a fine fellow name of Gartin at a nice company called SwimWays. On a business trip far away from the headquarters in Virginia Beach, he took the time to buy me a souvenir of Denver, Colorado.
He found a lucite-encased scorpion paperweight at a gift shop. "A souvenir of Denver." He knew I would appreciate the silliness of this item, since scorpions are not common to Denver.
I've lived in Denver a year now, and the paperweight is returned. Haven't seen a scorpion in all that time. Not a single one.

I have a bolo tie from my grandfather with a similarly encased scorpion in it. It rocks so hard I can hardly wear it.
