I guess I don't like horror movies.

Here's a list of the Top 50 Horror Movies. I've only seen 9 of them. None of those are on my Top 100.

Only 11 here. I hesitate to call a good number of them "horror" films.

I think I've seen about half of those. :/ I say "think" because I read the title and description and responded . . . oh . . . yeah, I think I did see that one yeeeears and yeeeearrrs ago. /shrug. Obviously Candyman 2 wasn't that memorable. There for a while my friends and I were on a "naked devil midget" horror binge. Satisfying 1 criteron within the course of the movie was good, 2 was better, 3 equated to the ultimate bad horror flick.

I don't like horror films, and don't watch them. But I ended up seeing 8 of these movies -- so...

I mean, Angelheart -- I guess it's horror, but holy cow that's a slick movie. I love Deniro in that.

Jacob's Ladder, another great and smart movie. I guess it is horror, but... just more.

It's the gratuitous violence, especially realistic, personal, torture-y violence that I have no use for. All these new horror movies about captive people being tortured appeal to me not in the least. I don't need that stuff in my head.

I consider myself a fan of horrow films, but I've only seen 9 of these.

This list loses any credibility to me for having that God-awful Bram Stoker's Dracula on it. That movie had absolutely kick-ass music, and I still listen to the soundtrack album regularly. And let's face it, Gary Oldman fucking rocks.

But EVERYTHING else about that movie sucked beyond the telling of it.
