Wireless, Topeka style.
We're at the Holiday Inn in Topeka, Kansas. Here are the instructions for connecting to their wireless internet service. Tell me what's wrong with this picture.

1. Make sure your laptop is powered down.
2. Plug your laptop in with the Internet cable located on your desk.
3. Power your laptop on.

Technically, that's a cable you were using. Not a wire. Your hotel is apparently run by a bunch of rules lawyers.

But a CABLE is made up of WIRES so what the FUCK are they THINKING?

Obviously their corporate usage rules demand that valuable hotel cables do not get moved willy-nilly by guests.

Actually, they do have a wireless connection. It's to the Starbucks next door. They are just "borrowing" a little bandwidth.
