Demon duck of doom.

Those crazy Aussie palaeontologists have found fossilized evidence of SciFi-original-movie-worthy fanged kangaroos and deadly ducks. As Dave Barry says, I am not making this up. Somebody wants to call the roos "kangavores" or "carnivoos."

"Very big birds ... more like ducks, earned the name 'demon duck of doom', some at least may have been carnivorous as well," Hand told ABC radio.

I have to think this is a PR move by the University of New South Wales, knowing that Demon Ducks grab headlines. It worked with me, anyway. It's gotta be hard to glamorize palaeontology, just look at Ross from Friends. Boring as dishwater.
