Interview with X-Men 3 screenwriter.

Simon Kinberg was hired to write a draft at the same time as Zak Penn was hired to do the same, and they decided to work together. And yes, they're both X-Men geeks.

What happens 99 out of 100 times, is different writers write different drafts, and then another writer is hired to create a Frankenstein draft that combines all of the different and best elements of each separate draft. That was the path we would have been on, but Zak and I, instead of competing and looking over our shoulders, contacted each other and decided to write the script together.
Simon talks about why there is no Nightcrawler and why they were gonna have Gambit and decided not to. After hearing the rumors about how this production fell apart and got rushed back together, it's terrific to see that the guys in charge of reassembly cared about the property and worked hard to make it better.

I remember being asked, "Can you guys design this game in five months?" saying yes and thinking, "Yeah, but it's gonna suck!" and creating .hack//ENEMY. A game that I'm proud of, winner of the Calliope as Best TCG of 2003. Even though you're rushed, the project can still turn out great if you care about what you're doing.
