Pointless pet peeve.

Lots of people refer to Battlestar Galactica as "BSG." This is incorrect, probably based on the wall design pictured here. It has been explained that "BSG 75" means "Battlestar Strike Group 75." The similar plaque on the Pegasus has "BSG" with a different number, so "BSG" clearly doesn't mean Battlestar Galactica.

If you must refer to the show with an abbreviation, it should be "BG." The name of the show is two words, not three.

I'm sure this rant will have absolutely no effect. My similar complaints about The Lord of the Rings had no effect. (The convention is "FOTR" and "ROTK" but for some reason "TTT" and not "TT.") I just want things to be consistent and correct, but the force of general usage can't be effectively combatted.

[sigh]

I've often used TSAH for "Tough Shit, AssHole"

Guess I lose points there, too. :-(

(My reasoning begin, the phrase said correctly often does hyper-stress "HOLE")

Now you can tie it to the Transportation Safety Administration: "Thought you were carrying those nail clippers on the plane? TSA!"

But BSG has such a nice ring to it instead of BG.

But, you are right.. *sigh*

Well, at suppose "TFC" is still intact, whether living in Shocho's World, or not.

Usually directed towards other drivers, or those walking aimlessly in front of me...
