Will Wright talking at the Game Developer's Conference about 'Spore', which looks like it could possibly be the best video game ever. You might want to go here to watch the video. Stunning, amazing, overwhelmingly cool. (Thanks again, Seth.)
And from a verbose person such as me, the fact that's about all I can say kinda says something in itself.
Depending on the amount of time it takes to work through all this stuff, this could either be one of the most amazing projects gaming's ever had, or it could be Civ 5.

That is incredible.

Didn't Kathy blog about this awhile ago too?
I know. Doesn't that video make the game seem freakin' awesome?
Yeah, I did, but I wasn't going to say anything. :)
You should have totally bitched me out for that one. Here are two possible scenarios:
(1) Sometimes people send me links to videos that I can't watch because I'm lucky enough to have a Macintosh.
(2) In the Far Western Reaches of my closet in Bellevue, sometimes the internet didn't work the way it was supposed to.
(3) I just fucking missed it. But I do read Geography every day, I swear. Mea culpa, Corazon.
I like how there were three reasons in your list of two. :)
I found my post, I didn't have any fun video, though.
I still want to play this game now.
Clearly, the video hooked me in a way the five-page article you posted did not. Here are three possible scenarios:
(1) I am lazy and do not like to read things that take too long. (For example, Game of Thrones.)
(2) I am visually-oriented and prefer video stimulation to textual stimulation.
