Games I have played.
I've been involved in many long-running RPG campaigns, or periods when we played one CCG to death. Over the years there have been many hours of canasta, hearts, and countless boardgames as well. Here's a list of the longest-running stints.
"Island of the Crescent," Dungeons & Dragons RPG campaign - 10 hours a week for a year and a half.
"Vanguard Reaches," Traveller RPG campaign - twice a week for three years.
"St. Louis Sprawl," Shadowrun RPG campaign - twice a month for two years.
Bushido RPG - twice a month for two years.
Vampire: The Eternal Struggle CCG - every Monday night for two and a half years.
Star Wars CCG - once or twice a week for two years.
Today marks the one-year anniversary of my involvement with World of Warcraft MMORPG. Caitlinbree, my lovely Night Elf warrior, is one year old today. I've played that character 1034 hours, more than I've played any other game. She was Main Tank in the Molten Core run for rookies last night, a landmark experience. What a blast!
In the last year, I've played 8 different WoW characters for 10 hours or more. My total playing time is over 1,914 hours. That's an average of 5.24 hours each day. These numbers are inflated, of course, by the forced vacation I started last year on May 12th.
Thanks to a 60-day pre-paid game card gift from the Lischkes, I paid for only 10 months over the year, or $150. That comes out to 7.8 cents per hour. LESS THAN EIGHT CENTS PER HOUR of game time played. Ladies and gentlemen, that is a major fucking entertainment bargain of the first water.
I love games.

Congrats. Are you a barney yet? How many pieces of Might/Wrath have you picked up?
Sulfurous's hammer or no?
That is an insane amount of gaming.
Awesome.
Good bang for the buck, yes.
Which reminds me, I haven't played for 6 days now.
Getting..blurry. Can't...focus...
See, that's my problem with MMORPGs. I want to play every waking minute, not necessarily because I love the game, but because I want to get my money's worth.
Traveller RPG? Wow (thenormal expression of amazement wow, not the MMO initials mind you!), that is old school. Did you ever see the Chainmail rules in original print?
As for the cents/hour gaming in the other WoW, it is unbelievable value for money! Even though the chiropractic cost may be exoribitant. :)
Chiropractic, ha! You're right about that. It ain't good exercise, not physical exercise, anywho.
Yes, I played Chainmail BEFORE Dungeons & Dragons came out. My first D&D set was three little books in a brown box. Which I later sold to pay for a trip to Gen Con.
