Dogs and cats living together.

McDonald's now offers what they call "premium coffee," which is to say it's not the watered-down drivel they used to sell. I was surprised to find that they only offer the new, stronger coffee and don't have an option to choose the old lame stuff.

Starbucks now offers breakfast sandwiches at selected locations, with plans to expand the service. English muffin toasted egg sandwiches sound good with my morning mocha.

Where will this all end? Will Starbucks get a clown? Will McDonald's start playing Norah Jones music?

Do they have the same parent company or is this balls-out competition?

Definitely not the same parent company. Our American "melting pot" ends up with flavorless dregs like the brown fuschia color you get when mixing watercolors goes badly.

When Chick-Fil-A and Arby's sell hamburgers, that will be the end.
