Death of Pastafarianism.
The Flying Spaghetti Monster is on the front page of USAToday, albeit below the fold. This is usually a death knell for anything cool. At least the book came out, which is a Good Thing(TM). USAToday shamelessly hyped its own poll with this blurb:
Creationism holds that God created human beings in their present form exactly as described in the Bible, a belief held by 53% of people nationwide, according to a recent USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup Poll. How many people believed in the Bible on the day it was published? Huh? Answer me that, USAToday! Only time will tell.

I had to go to our dear friends over at Wikipedia to find out what this entry was all about. (Shame on you Chuck for not providing reference for those of us who don't live on Fark.com!)
If you haven't read the entry on Pastafarianism, it's mildly humorous. I was unaware of all of this except the part about the "decline in the number of Pirates in the world". I saw a vague reference to that last "Talk Like A Pirate Day".
You have learned to fish because I did not give you one. Kudos!
This is completely off topic.
New Tool album May 2nd! Go buy it! Woo!
We now return you to your regularly scheduled pasta.
I do belive the bible but this is freaking hilarious. I saw this awhile ago.
I have been touched by its noodly appendage and nothing, not even the USA Today, can cool my fervor.
Ramen.
