The Extra-large Super Bowl.

That first Seahawk non-touchdown? That was OPI. That's what pushing off looks like, folks. Textbook illustration. However, Big Ben did NOT get that ball into the end zone. Bad call, replay no help as usual. There was one other non-holding call that was called against the Hawks.

All this referee shit sucked, but it didn't change the outcome. You never know, blah blah blah, momentum, yadda yadda yadda. Whatever. Somebody tell me how the refs made the Seahawks kicker miss two field goals, or created all those dropped passes. Looked to me like the Steelers came to play and the Hawks were confused.

Somehow, the game seemed like a regular game. I don't know if they needed more cameras or what. Maybe the usual technology of filming a regular game has caught up with what used to be special for the Super Bowl.

Oh yeah, and Mick had the words "come" and "cock" blocked out by the Nosey Fucks Who Preserve Our Decency. Thank God for Censors. And Referees. And Instant Replay.

Good thing I have headphones to block out the pissing and moaning at work today.

I can see calling the TD either way live. It was a little odd that he was going to spot the ball then called a TD. But live at full speed, I can see you calling it a TD and I can also see you calling it not a TD.

As for the replay I can't see evidence either way, enough to overturn it at least. Obviously I'm happy for the call but I don't see it as the worst call in the world.

The O-PI and the holding, those are both correct calls. The refs just don't usually make those calls, that is the problem. They didn't make those calls at different times in the game.

The Hasselbeck illegal block was shit though.

Most of my friends were arguing with me about the Offensive PI call - that it didn't affect the play much and so shouldn't have been called. Dude, he totally pushed off - you could see his momentum change in the replay from getting the hand on the defender!

Roethlisberger's touchdown and the holding call were questionable and I screamed at the TV when they called an illegal block on Hasselbeck.

Yes, the illegal block on Hasslebeck was ridiculous as well. It was a TACKLE, not a block, the other guy had the ball. Jesus. Michael Wright has an article on ESPN today about how bad the officiating was.

What was the context of the censored words? I missed the halftime show as, even if with bared boobs, they are always lame.

Just song lyrics. From "Start Me Up," "You make a dead man come," and the obligatory new song that none of us wanted to hear had the word "cocks" which did not refer to roosters.
