The first video game.
I like this guy. He designed what was maybe the first video game to "liven up the place."
Higinbotham designed the game as entertainment for visitors' days at BNL. In the1950s, most of the exhibits were static displays. Higinbotham, who was then head of the Instrumentation Division, said it occurred to him that "it might liven up the place to have a game that people could play, and which would convey the message that our scientific endeavors have relevance for society."It looks better than Pong too, although that's not saying much. I like the sideways viewpoint much better.

Damn him!! Damn him to hell!!!!
It's his fault I haven't hit level 60 yet. It's also his fault I destroyed no less than 5 Atari joysticks on Archon so many years ago. It's also his fault that I put my fist into a TV monitor a few years ago and...
but, perhaps I've said too much.
