Who came up with this 24-hour limit?

SoulCalibur III (you can hear the voice saying it in your head, can't you?), the newest installment of The Fighting Game for Players Who Can't Play Fighting Games (like yours truly), is now available.

What will drag me away from World of Warcraft for a few hours, you ask? This is something I have wondered for lo, these many months. I was playing Xenosaga II when the WoW tsuonami* hit, a game I had waited two years to play. If XII can't fight the WoW, how can SCIII hope to succeed?

In the new SoulCalibur, you can CREATE YOUR OWN CHARACTER. Man, that is so kewl I didn't even dream of that. Blindsided me with that one. Good way to seduce MMORPG players, too. It's like a cruise missile aimed at my gaming cortex.

I need longer days, and I ain't talkin' no Daylight Saving shit.

*Not a typo, its a name I once suggested for an SUV. I still get hits for this, so I'm just juicing the stats.

That's neat. The real question, of course, is how little you can put on your busty female fighter. I expect pictures.

And when you mentioned "XII" a while back, I thought you were talking about Final Fantasy XII. Which, as we all know, doesn't come out until next year. But that might also put a dent into your WoW-ing.

I love the Soul Calibur games (probably the only fighting games I like) but with Madden and X-Men Legends 2 both purchased recently, I can't justify it right now. I hate buying games and just have them sit there. Maybe in a month or two. Let us know if it does pry you from WoW.

Nope, no Final Fantasy for me. I just can't get into it. Not even the one with the three hot chicks. I enjoy it for a while, then something stupid like a cactus shows up and I can't take it.

Ooh, X-Men Legends 2... I forgot about that one too. We enjoyed the first one a lot!

Couldn't get behind XML2, just because of the horrid selection of characters. I mean, thanks for Bishop and all, but he sucks...

Heh. I have it on good faith that Chuck spent a good deal of time playing Burnout 3: The Takedown on a (deep breath) XBOX!!!

Actually, the game is a blast!

Tis true, but I still ain't buyin' an Xbox. Who doesn't like running cars off the road? Besides, this is a game I can play in short breaks, unlike Xenosaga II, for example. In fact, the way I drive in Breakout is the same way I drive Gran Turismo, but without the damage. Besides, I'm mad at GT since they don't have the C6 in the new game.
