Find new music you'll like.

Pandora asks you for the name of an artist or song you like and then plays other things you might like. I input my favorite band, Cracker, which is a little obscure (well, more obscure than Rob Thomas or Led Zeppelin, I guess, I'm no indie fanatic). The analysis of that band and the songs it came up with were pretty cool. The Cracker song it picked for me wasn't "Low" or "Get Off This," but the recent countryfied masterpiece, "It Ain't Gonna Suck Itself." If you don't like the suggestions, you can tell Pandora and it'll figure out some other ones. Seems like a groovy way to find new music, like a real knowledgeable guy at a local record store.

Hmm, not wild on some of its selections. I tried Bally Sagoo and it didn't find anything; Thievery Corporation found some stuff but not much I'd want to rush out and buy.

Need to think and try again.

I love the concept, and now need to encourage people to use it so that they populate it with information as it seems to be a learning system.

There ya go, Trundler! Teach poor Pandora about those crappy selections. She can be taught. :)
