Art as a team sport.

Here's another article about the creative process (well, that's what I saw in it, anyway) regarding Pixar. Sounds like a wonderful place to work. If the entertainment industry is going to break out of the doldrums of sequelitis, thinking like this must become widespread. It's obvious to me that Pixar has found a way to do it right.

How do they make it work? Well, a big part of it, they insist, is avoiding what they call "No, but ... .''

The idea is that when someone suggests an idea, others should respond with "Yes, and ...,'' not "No, but ... .''
