Self-quoting News Roundup.
I keep saying I'm not going to just post links, but here we go. A few news items you may have missed.
As a followup to my previous post on the film The Aristocrats, here is the official website. Still not sure about this movie, but I do want to see it if I can. Kudos to Dr. Heimlich for the South Park version. I believe the comedians in the film can make it funnier than that.
The always amazing Internet Archive provides a download of the classic "bad movie" Plan 9 From Outer Space. I've watched the first 40 minutes, and I have to admit it is infused with a kind of loving determination by Ed Wood. The production values are absolutely the worst I've ever seen, and I have watched a few low budget flicks.
How about a computer keyboard that has a tiny display in each key that you can change by application? We used to call this a "reconfigurable display" in the Traveller RPG, and that was "science fiction in the far future." Marvelous.
In another followup, a guy got his nose bitten off during an argument about Sin City. Still not sure which side he was on. This happened in Sydney, but I'm not judging here. Somebody is trying to say the movie made them do it, but that's just silly. If that were true, he would have pulled the other guy's balls off.
By the way, don't buy the Sin City DVD coming out in a week or so, it doesn't have the extra scenes that Robert Rodriguez has promised. Wait for the good one. Or buy both to support RR and FM and QT, if you're not unemployed. I bought Reservoir Dogs twice, and I have no regrets. Didn't keep it out of the $9.95 bin, but I tried.

My favorite part of the keyboard article is the "answers" page, which includes these:
There's no snow in Moscow during Summer
and
Moscow is the capital of Russia
Interesting, I hadn't noticed that. Instead of FAQs, there are just answers.
Plan 9 is such a great movie - it truly makes you understand the notion of 'so bad it's good'
That keyboard is soooooo money. I could now remember where my weed picking hot key is. ;)
In attempt to distance myself from the nose-biters (different to ankle-biters, which is an Aussie expression for children!) Bathurst is about 200km west of Sydney, across the Great Dividing Range (and we like to think, somewhat past the cultural divide).
The hospital they transferred the kid-who-cant-smell to though, Westmead, was across the road from my high school.
Small world, after all.
Words cannot express how badly I want that keyboard.
I would give significant portions of my anatomy to have one in the next 5 seconds.
...
Guess I get to keep my legs.
That keyboard is so amazing I don't think I believe the pictures are real.
