Wal-Mart not reading for content.

Starbucks is trying to be Wal-Mart, and Wal-Mart is not doing a very good job of being Wal-Mart. Starbucks has refused to carry Bruce Springsteen's new album because of an anal sex reference. Interestingly, Wal-Mart is still carrying the album, so I guess that when the Wal-Mart censors check out everything to make sure it's Safe For America, sometimes they miss things.

Anal gay sex or anal hetero sex? Here's hoping they're not distinguishing between the two!

Actually, the new rumor is that the reason they're not carrying the album is because some megabuck deal fell through. Bruce got uppity about some creator's rights instead of profit, silly him.

So that means it's okay to talk about butt sex in America, since Wal-Mart endorses it. What will Wonkette find to talk about now?

But, I can still buy a jar of pickles, a rifle, and a fresh set of tires at Wal-Mart, right?

Sheryl Crow said: "Watch out sister, watch out brother, / Watch our children while they kill each other / With a gun they bought at Wal-Mart discount store," but you can't buy that album at Wal-Mart.
