Layoff party mix.

I made a CD this morning, a disk of inspirational songs to use for my new job, finding my new job. When I make compilations like this, I sort by time so I get an eclectic mix. Here's the list:

1. Ferrari F1 V12 - sound effect of 19,000 RPM, 900 HP, and rosso scuderia
2. I Won't Back Down - Johnny Cash
3. I Feel Fine - The Beatles
4. Kick Out the JAMS - MC5
5. Today - Smashing Pumpkins
6. Extraordinary - Liz Phair
7. Don't Stop Me Now - Queen
8. Precious - The Pretenders
9. It's My Life - Bon Jovi
10. The World Is Mine - Cracker
11. A Change Would Do You Good - Sheryl Crow
12. Holiday - Green Day
13. I Want It All - Queen
14. Closer to Fine - Indigo Girls
15. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap - AC/DC
16. Get Off This - Cracker
17. Precious Things - Tori Amos
18. Born to Run - Bruce Springsteen
19. I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide - ZZ Top
20. If It Makes You Happy - Sheryl Crow
21. I Will Not Go Quietly - Don Henley

The two Sheryl Crow songs helped me make the move to here, since that album was new at the time.

Those are two of my favorite Queen songs to sing along to.

Although, it is difficult to list two Queen songs than aren't two of my favorite Queen songs to sing along to.

If that makes any sense.

That's my very most favorite Tori song. I was gonna make a CD of just my favorite Tori songs, but I couldn't decide. Besides, as we found out on my blog, she sings like a retard. (Where is that guy? I swear I'd punch him in the face right now.)

Just about every Queen song is inspirational, so it was hard to pick, and I wanted to avoid the obvious ones. "Inspirational" was the name of the playlist I made in iTunes, but that was much too sappy.

Would you like a copy of the email song so you don't feel so bad about not being at work?

Fave Tori Amos: Cornflake Girl. I LOVE the fact it sounds like Kate Bush!

Otherwise, we're apart on music. Only tracks 3,4,and 5 appear in my music collection :(
