Incomprehensible terror.
Here's a thought that most of you can't even conceive of: I haven't been on a job interview in THIRTY YEARS. I've never been fired or laid off, so each transition avoided the joy and happiness of interviews. I've probably been on about half a dozen in my entire life.
I'm not too worried about that, despite the tone of this post. I'm pretty good one-to-one. But that first one will suck, for sure.

I can empathize. The last interview I had (before Black Monday) was about 23 years ago, and I wasn't even unemployed -- just exploring a possibility that I decided I didn't want. Before that, I can recall a life total of three interviews... and in each case, I got the job. Not exactly good preparation for my current situation.
I was definitely terrified at my first interview post-1/24. Now I'm no longer terrified, but I don't seem to have hit on the right presentation yet.
Kathy,
Please stop listing Starfleet Academy on your resume under "Education". It will get you farther.
How about the Romulan Military Academy instead?
